Customer Success Manager

Your mission

We are looking for a Customer Success Manager who ensures that transactions on our marketplace are not only agreed upon but also successfully completed. In this role, you take ownership after a deal is commercially agreed and drive the operational execution between buyers, suppliers, and internal teams. You actively engage with customers throughout transactions and negotiations to ensure progress, remove blockers, and keep deals moving. Your focus is to make sure that interactions on the platform lead to real outcomes — turning activity into completed transactions and repeat business.  
                                                
You'll lead proactive outreach to understand what's blocking users from getting value, guide them to the right platform features — particularly around 1st-life battery supply — and build the self-service infrastructure that allows our support to scale without adding headcount. You'll also run structured user research together with our product and analytics teams, feeding real buyer and seller insights directly into how we develop the platform.                   
This is a hands-on role at the intersection of sales enablement, product feedback, and user education. You'll work closely with PO, Backend lead, Solution Architecture, and the sales team — handling technical onboarding and listing creation so that sales can focus on key account management and deal execution. 

What You’ll Do 

Drive transaction execution 

  • Take ownership of deals after commercial agreement
  • Act as the main point of contact for buyers and suppliers during execution
  • Coordinate all steps required to complete transactions (documentation, logistics, internal alignment)
Keep deals moving 
  • Proactively follow up with all stakeholders
  • Identify and resolve blockers
  • Ensure timely completion of transactions
Manage deal-related engagement 
  • Actively engage with users in ongoing negotiations and transactions when progress stalls
  • Identify high-intent users within ongoing platform interactions and flag them to Sales for commercial follow-up.
  • Facilitate communication between buyers and suppliers to move deals forward
  • Support interactions without taking over commercial ownership (no pricing or negotiation decisions)
Ensure operational readiness 
  • Ensure all required information and documents are complete
  • Align closely with Sales Operations and Finance
  • Track progress and ensure smooth handovers
Support customer activation 
  • Guide customers through the final steps towards their first transaction
  • Re-engage users whendirectly linkedto active deal opportunities

Your profile

  • 3–5+ years in Customer Success, Account Management, or User Engagement within a SaaS or digital marketplace environment
  • Proven track record of reducing churn or reactivating dormant users at scale
  • Experience designing and delivering onboarding programs (live and self-service)
  • Comfortable running user interviews and translating qualitative insights into actionable product feedback
  • Strong ability to create clear, engaging content — video tutorials, guides, FAQs — that scales support without scaling headcount
  • Highly structured, proactive, and data-informed in how you prioritize accounts and outreach
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
Bonus Skills       
  • Experience in energy, cleantech, mobility, or industrial B2B marketplaces
  • Familiarity with battery lifecycles, second-life applications, or EV supply chains
  • Experience working with product and analytics teams on platform instrumentation and user behavior data
  • Knowledge of CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and pipeline/engagement tracking
