Your profile

You will

Responsible for our platform's quality, stability, security, and automation
Actively participate in agile team's projects and focus on providing a highly available platform for our customers
Plan, configure, monitor, maintain, and optimize our CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and the associated tooling to integrate our external APIs and services. "You build it; you run it!"
Manage the application, infrastructure performance, and monitoring for continuous improvement
Iterate fast where needed with architect competent for long-term scalability
Test coverage and enable continuous, excellent delivery
Manage, write and maintain well-crafted documentation

You have

3+ years of professional experience as a DevOps/Software Engineer
Experience in software development projects in an agile environment, including service management, container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and standard infrastructure-as-code tools, especially Terraform
In-depth knowledge of AWS services, AWS Monitor & Policies, Linux, standard Unix tools, Ansible, or SaltStack
Working knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting, and other aspects of application operations
Design continuous integration and delivery pipelines using GitHub actions, CircleCI or Jenkins
Experience working as part of a remote team, sharing ideas, having good communication skills, and presenting concepts effectively
Energetic and proactive attitude about improving the work with little supervision
Published software that enhances the user experience
Good command of English and German is a plus

Bonus points for

AWS Certifications
Experience with programming and scripting languages, especially PHP and Python
Understanding of SQL database design and modelling

About Us

Circunomics GmbH was founded in 2019 and is already one of the leading companies in battery circularity. The company is based in Mainz. Founders Felix Wagner and Jan Born have set themselves the goal of establishing a circular battery economy by inspiring a movement of taking batteries from first-life in electric vehicles to second-life applications and finally recycling any remaining raw materials.

The Circunomics team has developed an innovative digital marketplace where digital "circular twins" can be registered, tracked, and traded for battery packs. The company has been supported thus far by seed investors and business angels. Startup builder Next Mobility Labs, recycler TES, Orlen VC, and Dr. Peter Mertens, former Chief Technology Officer of Audi, are some key players.

US-based company Frost & Sullivan awarded Circunomics the 2023 Market Leadership Award. The award identified Circunomics as the best in class in the European circular marketplace for the battery trading industry.

Most recently, Circunomics was awarded 2nd Best StartUp 2023 within the automotive industry by Automobilwoche.
